Tears of A Tiger: Review

Title:Tears of A Tiger
Author:Sharon Draper
Reviewer:Brianna
The main character in Tears of A Tiger was Andy, because his friend Robbie died and he can't get over it. So his mom has someone to help him, but it doesn't help at all. Andy, is a basketball player, also a teenager. He has a girlfriend named Keisha, and she kinda gets frustrated that Andy cries a lot because his friend is dead. He is a good kid, does great in school, but he has been so depressed.
The conflict was about how Robbie died. That's the conflict because they were celebrating the game that they won. Then, they started to drink and drive, also, yell at old ladies and laugh. Out of nowhere, a wall jumped in front of the car, which made Andy get scared, and flip over. Then,Robbie was stuck in the car, and Andy tried to help Robbie get out, but they heard a little noise, the car blew up. So that was the conflict, and also my favorite part in the story.
I recommend this book because it was very interesting to read. I'm normally the type of person that doesn't like to read books, but Tears of A Tiger got me very interested in. Now that I finished the book over and over again. I think recommending this book is a very good idea because I like getting to know the characters. So this is why I choose to recommend this book.

Tears of A Tiger- Defining Event

The most important event in the story was when Robbie died. That was the important event because if he never had died everything would have been alright and Andy wouldn't feel down in the dumps.
The text that helped me figure out that important event was when Andy had so much pain once Robbie died then shot his-self.

MLK Jr. Quote

" Darkness cannot drive out darkness; Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; Only love can do That. "<3 -MLK Jr.
My thoughts about this was that it meant that hate or violence can't always solve problems, only love can do that.
